out of frost is a short work for piano, inspired by the compositions of Yasunori Nishiki (b.1985) in his score for the game “Octopath Traveler.” Within the game, eight regions of a fictional continent are biologically, culturally, and visually contrasting from one another, and each region and town consists of its own themes and scores.

Placing myself into a similar mindset, I aimed to emulate the feeling of a peaceful town shrouded in snow year-round.
