Fire and Ice is a song for baritone voice and piano from my 2024 song cycle, To Wander. Set to text by Robert Frost, the poem follows the narrator's thoughts on the best way that the world could end. The song cycle To Wander is about a narrator's overnight journey, both physical and mental. Fire and Ice represents a changing point in the narrator's mindset, where the darkness starts to overcome them as they contemplate the end of the Earth.
